Manchester United faced Fenerbahce today in their third Europa League match, with former United coach Jose Mourinho at the helm for Fenerbahce.
United entered the game after two draws against FC Twente and Porto, while Fenerbahce had previously won against Union SG and drawn with Twente.
The Red Devils started strong, with Christian Eriksen scoring in the 15th minute, assisted by Joshua Zirkzee.
However, shortly after halftime, Fenerbahce equalized when Allan Saint-Maximin set up Youssef En Nesyri for his first tournament goal.
In a disappointing turn of events, United’s winger Antony was stretchered off in the closing moments. The Brazilian, who had come on for Marcus Rashford in the 73rd minute, was replaced by Amad Diallo in the 89th minute.
After the match, Antony was seen leaving the stadium on crutches, according to Alex Crook on X.
