Young Engineers in Africa Invited to Participate in SDG and AfCFTA Survey

The Young Engineers Committee (YEC) under the Federation of African Engineering Organisations (FAEO) is inviting young engineers across Africa to participate in a new survey.

YEC (Young Engineers Committee) in Nigeria is a branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) that focuses on empowering young engineers in the country.

This committee works to represent the interests of young engineers, fostering professional development, networking opportunities, and leadership skills.

They organize events, training, and mentorship programs aimed at equipping young engineers with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the engineering profession.

The YEC in Nigeria is aligned with the goals of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, promoting excellence in the engineering field and contributing to the development of the nation’s infrastructure and technology through the involvement of young professionals.

They are also involved in addressing global and regional engineering challenges, including sustainability and innovation.

The survey is designed to gather insights on the awareness, training, and involvement of young engineers in key initiatives like the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Africa’s Agenda 2063, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This initiative seeks to capture the perspectives of young engineers on these important topics, as well as identify any challenges they face and areas where improvements can be made.
