Paul Pogba is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League, with Arsenal emerging as a possible destination.
The former Manchester United midfielder had his four-year doping suspension reduced to 18 months after an appeal, allowing him to resume training in January and be eligible to play again in March.
Since rejoining Juventus in the summer of 2022, Pogba has faced injury issues and his suspension, resulting in only 12 appearances.
Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has indicated that the club is moving on without him, stating, “The squad is complete,” implying Pogba may need to find a new team.
Despite Juventus’s firm position, Pogba remains committed to the club, expressing his desire to demonstrate his abilities. “I am at Juventus under contract. I will see what they are thinking and the vision. My vision is to show I am a footballer,” he stated, showing eagerness to return to play.
In this uncertain situation, former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has encouraged the club to consider signing Pogba. He believes the Premier League aligns with Pogba’s style and that Arsenal’s young and dynamic squad would suit him well. “He has experience; he loves to play with young players around him—that is when he is most efficient,” Sagna noted, referencing Pogba’s success during the 2018 World Cup with familiar teammates.
Sagna views this as an opportunity for Pogba to revitalize his career after his hiatus, suggesting a move to Arsenal could be beneficial for both the player and the club. As Pogba explores his options, the possibility of returning to the Premier League remains appealing, with Arsenal potentially ready to seize this chance.
